Major activities in recent years:

To fulfill the purpose of Safe Food Act, 2013 Food Safety Officer in Pabna District 25/10/2020 AD. Joined the date. Meanwhile, Bangladesh Safe Food Authority, District Office, Pabna has completed the process of setting up an office in Library Bazar area of the city on contractual rent. Organizing 07 Upazila Level Seminars, 1 Caravan Road Show, 2 School Level Seminars and 2 District Level Meetings/Seminars on Food Safety in FY 2020-21 and 2021-22 to create public awareness about the hygiene rules of Covid-19 in Pabna District. On the occasion of Safe Food Day-2021, 1800 posters have been distributed and banners, festoons, billboards etc. have been installed on the occasion of Safe Food Day-2021 to increase the awareness of safe food at the district and upazila levels. Training has been provided to 120 food workers from Bangladesh Safe Food Authority, District Office, Pabna. So far 13 food samples have been sent to various laboratories for testing to ensure quality and safety of food products. In the financial year 2022-23, with the aim of creating public awareness at the upazila level, a safe food related program has been organized in 08 upazilas with public representatives. Public awareness programs have been organized in 04 educational institutions in different upazilas. 02 courtyard meetings have been organized with housewives. Public meetings, video screenings, miking, distribution of leaflets and pamphlets etc. are being conducted. Also, as a part of regular activities, regular monitoring activities are continuing in various food establishments and investigation activities are being conducted in view of the complaints received on hotline service 333 for receiving public complaints and suggestions regarding safe food.
